REVIEW - 50 Things To Know About Social Media For Bloggers

50 Things To Know About Social Media For Bloggers

Are you an aspiring writer?
Are you new to the social media scenario?
Do you want to know how you can use social media to advance your writing career?
If you answered yes to any of these questions then this book is for you...

50 Things To Know About Social Media For Bloggers And Writers by Manidipa Bhattacharyya offers a approach to learn about social media and how it can be used effectively by bloggers and writers.
Most books on social media and blogging give you marketing tips for social media. Although there's nothing wrong with that, learning to control your own content and what kind of content is appropriate for social media is very important as well.
Based on knowledge from the world's leading experts this book tell you about the tips for using social media as well as how to improve your content to suit this new medium.

In these pages you'll discover how to create your online presence and how to gain fan following.
This book will help you to understand what the best practices are for writers and bloggers and also about tools to use to successfully navigate the social media jungle.
By the time you finish this book, you will know tips to create your online persona, tips for creating great content and also about various social networking channels you can explore.
Most of the tips in this book are basic common knowledge or things that can be picked up through a Google search or spending any amount of time on a blogging group/forum. There were a few websites I'm curious about, but nothing that screamed 'You need to visit this website or you will fail!!!'

One thing that bothered me was some of the tips were aimed at writers/authors, not bloggers. This could be confusing for those thinking this book is strictly for bloggers.

This is the 2nd '50 Things to Know' book I've reviewed, and both times, I've felt like they wrote the book for someone who literally woke up that morning and decided to become a blogger. Both books contained tips that are easily searchable by using Google (or the search engine of your choice) or finding a 'learning to blog' group on Facebook.

I seriously would NOT recommend this book.

This is available from Amazon for $2.99.

Aimed more for complete newbies, not intermediate or advanced bloggers
